  • Updated statement on Ferry Service - Press Release - The N.C. Department of Transportation Ferry Division is running all ferries – including the three ferry routes serving Ocracoke -- under their normal schedules during the island evacuation. The division has extra vessels on standby at the Ocracoke-Hatteras terminal, if needed, and have put ferries on standby to run from Rodanthe to Stumpy Point if N.C. 12 washes over and people can't get off Hatteras.
